Astro File Manager is for managing files on your phone, for example downloading apps from sources other then the app store.

    Aldiko is an ebook reader/library

    Bebbled is a game

Ringdroid lets you capture part of the MP3's on your phone to use as ringtones.

    AnyCut, SystemPanel, etc.

In no particular order my faveorites:

Any Cut - allows you to create shortcuts for direct dialing (and many other things). I have one screen where I put shortcuts to my most called people and you can dial them just by tapping on the icon.

Handcent - a replacement texting app with many more options than the standard one.

SystemPanel - an app that shows you the resources that are being used by every running app. Can use it to check if an app is a resource hog.

    Smooth Calendar

    Klondike Solitaire

Not a top 10, but I've only had the phone two days.

    In no particular order:

Note If it has a $ before it, its not free.

    1) Handcent - Replaces the default texting system if you want. My biggest problem with the standard text messaging app, is if you get a text with a link, you can not simply tap the link and away you go. The phone/droid has to load the text message a second time before you can click it. It has a few different themes available so I choose to set my theme up similar to the iphone. I would of preferred something more original, but it was the best looking, but hey its a free app, so Im not complaining.

    2) K-9 Mail - This can replace the stock e-mail app. Seems to run smoother then the original email for the backflip, but aside from that, I havent really noticed anything else to boast about, yet.

3)$ Open Home - It unlocks a new world of options for the home screen(s). You can have up to 9 screens I think. One thing that bugged me was the default home screen was the middle of the stock 5. Not the first one. So this made my day being a b

    4) Barcode Scanner - Scan barcodes for apps, scan barcodes at the store for instant price check rather then finding the walmart employees that are never around when you need them.

5)$ Beautiful Widgets - A group of custom widgets(that can be skinned I believe) for the home screens.

I cant come up with another 5 apps atm, but those are must have imo.

I looked at K9 Mail and it also adds the ability to set different polling intervals for each email account. My problem was that the fonts were too small and it does have a setting to adjust this. Otherwise I loved it. I will be watching it as the developers have siad they will be adding the setting for the fonts.
