OK, a more optimistic title would be, "Things to Look Forward to when the (Supposed) 2.1 Upgrade Happens."

Swype (Ok, I actually got this to install, but it took some doing)

Nice. I'm mad just like you. But every time I say something, people in this forum tell me I'm being unreasonable and need to be patient with the great Motorola and AT&T. I will def come up with a list. Google Goggles is awesome. We can't even get the new IMDB app b/c it's 1.6 or above. Seems like EVERYTHING is 1.6 or above. I personally would put off getting the 2.1 update for a month or two if it meant I could get a 1.6 update today. Just me.

Yes this I very disappointing.. I wish I would have just waited for the new htc phone... even tho I love my backflip and support moto 100%. But when the 2.1 update really does come out i will be one happy mofo!!

I'm not necessarily "mad," but I am really looking forward to the promised upgrade. if they get it out this quarter as promised, I'm cool with that... and I'll be comimg back to this thread when that happens. (And if not, that Samsung Galaxy looks pretty awesome--although I do really like the Backflip phone itself.)

It's not just you. I feel the same way. I wish Motorola would think a little more aboout the Backflip instead of just leaving us with 1.5. I might not get another Motorola phone.

The Backflip is definitely THE coolest looking phone, ever. It made me drop T-Mobile! And boy, did I love T-Mobile.

I honestly just want Launcher Pro + the latest greatest smoothest firmware. Lol. And to not have the feeling on the marketplace that I'm missing out on unknown apps that I could otherwise have.

I feel too dumbed down on 1.5 when I want to feel... epic. I want some stock Froyo on this.

And I hate motoblur... to death.

There is an older version of the Tricorder app which will work on the Backflip. You can find it in the download section here. You'll have to install it using ADB.
