    Video playback maximum specs?

    Hi guys.

I've looked everywhere but I can't seem to find the maximum video specs that the Backflip can play.

For example, I have music videos and TV shows in HD that I want to make into super-clear videos that I can play back on my Backflip at 480x320 resolution. What's the maximum bitrate of H.264 / MP4 can it play? How about framerate, any specifics? I want to encode my videos at the max the Backflip can play so they look and sound as good as possible.

    Anybody know? Thanks

Buy or "Google" Ultra Video Converter I use it to convert my videos and what's best about this converter is the fact they have a output format for a Motorola Cliq MPEG-4 (*mp4) which will play on a backflip without question. Also you can change how good you want the video quality to be (from Lower to High) and the same can be done with sound as well.

    Thanks for the help.

Through experimentation, I found that the Backflip can play MPEG-4-encoded videos at more than 2.2Mbps @ 30fps. For a resolution of 480x320, that bitrate is pretty much lossless to the naked eye. I encoded multiple videos at 2.20Mbps at framerates varying from 24fps to 30fps, and they all playback great. Super-clear and crisp, just like the original.

    Codec: MPEG-4 Improved
    Size: 480x320 Letterbox
    Bitrate: 2200kbps
    Framerate: Source
    Keyframe: Auto
    Audio: AAC-LC, Stereo 192kbps @ 48.000kHz

I tried the same settings with H.264 but the Backflip didn't seem to like them. Comes back with an error.
