This hasn't been figured out yet. The method for doing it on the Aria has been tried (modified of course for the Backflip path names) but it still doesn't work.

I haven't tried the Aria Method. I tried the Captivate method and I still get the popup.
Using Root Explorer, navigate to dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.settings/settings.db
Edit install_non_market_apps from 0 to 1.
Reboot.
I like how the Backflip had to mooch off another phone's root exploit.
Well at least we got it.![]()

Ditto that file doesn't exist on my backflip

See the
Stuff to do with our root access

Set install_non_market_app to 1 and still will not install from SD card. Any other ideas?
After changing that install_non_market_apps key in /data/data/com.motorola.providers.settings/secure
The backflip would not boot, I had to restore from nandroid backup, so tread lightly.
