Non-market apps without usb?
I am trying to find a way to install non-market apps without having to connect the phone to your computer. I can connect the memory card through an adapter to put files on it, but the USB plugin port on my phone broke (the connections bent/snapped, now it will come out with the cord) so I can't use the "usb debug" mode. So is there any way to bypass AT&T's "protection" without using the cable?
Any help would be appreciated. I know its a long shot, but fingers crossed,
.

You can use a terminal emulator app to install the apps from the phone. I don't remember the correct syntax or commands at the moment however. It may require a rooted phone though.

uugggghhhhh....
I just spent a few hours doing research and I have come to a conclusion.
I need a new phone.
Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen any time soon. The bottom line is that I can't use non-market apps unless I root my phone, and the only way to do that is to use non-market apps. So I'm stuck...
If anyone knows of any apps that can root or change the permissions or sideload I would love to know.
Its really difficult to find a software solution to a hardware problem...

Fon8686 THANK YOU.
That worked like a charm, I was even able to root my phone after being able to install non market apps. So thank you, I have control over my phone again.
