When i open the phone and try to type the phone keeps selecting all over the place it

it gets annoying but when its closed it acts normal no random selections any advice?

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you might be touching the Backtrack (the touchpad on the back of the screen) with your fingers while you are typing (happens to me all the time).

I think there is a setting somewhere to disable the backtrack if it is causing you more problems than it is worth.
