problems with linked contacts on backflip

I recently updated my Motorola Backflip to Android 2.1. Since the update, I linked all my contacts to my facebook friends. All my contact titles are now the Facebook profile names. How do I change them back to thier "nicknames" when displayed in my contacts or recents calls/texts? This is preticulary annoying when I try to voice dial as I speak the name I know them as ie: I try to call "mom" and it doesn't recognize that name since it is looking for her facebook name. Any help would be appreciated.
