It's not just a 528MHz to 720MHz speed bump, but it's also a completely different ARM architecture. The Backflip was the OLD ARM11 core, while the Flipside is a Cortex A8 architecture. In addition to a wayy more advanced CPU, it has PowerVR graphics in the form of the SGX530 like in the Droid, Droid X, and Droid 2. Also, RAM has been bumped up to 512MB instead of the Backflip's 256MB. I'd expect exactly what you're saying. Those specs were what MotoBlur needed in the first place, as those specs have the capabilities to run Blur without lag or frustration. Actually, with the CPU and graphics the Flipside has, it has the hardware capabilities to support Flash 10.1 and AIR, if 2.2 is ever made available.

Well, AFAIK, the BF only had 150-160MB of storage available to the user with all the other considerations taken into account. BUT... it could be just like my Captivate, in that the phone actually has 512MB of RAM but only 256-384MB of it is available under 2.1. When Samsung officially drops 2.2 or later Gingerbread, the whole 512MB is supposed to be unlocked, and that could be the case for this new crop of Moto's too.

Yeah, the amount of available storage is what pushed me over the edge to install a custom ROM, for apps2sd. Got tired of having to remove an app to install something else or to try something new. Was easy at first, but once I got down to the bare bones... yeah, got irritating. Now I just need a larger and faster sdcard (using the stock 2gb that came with the phone). I will say though, that the Backflip does not have 256mb available for storage. My ext2 partition for apps2sd is only 256mb and I am only using about 130mb of that. Even with apps2sd enabled the phone only shows about 60mb of storage available internally. Not sure what is using that up or if it is just cache space or something, but I'd say that it definitely doesn't have 256mb available, and definitely not that much dedicated to app storage.

Hi,
Just got off a very extensive 88 min call with motorola. I am looking for the camera advance setting, but its not on my phone, read the manual, looked at help, both show camera viewfinder>settings> but no advances settings, then the girl at motorola told me that it probably was not added. Does any one have this feature on their phone?
