    Personalized Ringtones

    Hey all, is there any way to assign personalized ringtones to text messages. I keep trying to assign one under notification ringtone, but the actual ringtone itself for text messages doesn't change. Is there something i'm doing wrong? PLEASE HELP!

    Is the phone letting you assign the personalized ringtone and it's just not playing that tone when you receive a text from that person... or is the option itself just not there?

    im just trying to change it for the overall sms tone, but when i assign one it doesnt play it

    Are you using the stock SMS app or are you using a replacement you have installed from the Market? Also, where are you attempting to change the tone?

    im trying to do it through the notification tone settings in the settings menu. i'm using the stock sms.
