Today's nightly supposedly fixes the 2g/3g toggle issue. I say supposedly because it's in the changelog, but I really don't want to be the guinea pig for it. One step closer to RC2 and eventually a stable release.
Edit: #62 & #63 are causing random f-ing reboots during phone calls. Weird thing is they don't disconnect the call while rebooting.

If you guys and gals out there are still rocking a cappy, there is a STABLE version of cm7.1 out now. [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the Samsung Captivate :: V7.1.0 (9 Oct 2011) - xda-developers The current nightly's are the usual fun + occasional unstable that they've always been.

the touch part is f-ing glitched in gallery and this about f-ed my phone up it taken me forever to get back to stock software then back to Dorians JVP i recommend you get off of cyanogenmod 7.1 i just isnt worth it

Touch part? I haven't had much issue out of cm7 for the last few months now. There were a few bad nightly's that caused all kinds of fun, like bootloops, but that was easily fixed. Then again I occasionally flash back to stock just to keep it fresh.

i was having issues just in gallery and didnt like it not including task manager like it does in dorians JVP and it seems to take a little longer to boot than dorians jvp and there lock screen i didnt like either

Since Samsung has officially said we Cappy owners will not get an official Ice Cream Sandwich build since a 1gHz cpu and 512mb of ram cannot run ICS and Touchwiz (blame Touchwiz for this), I feel like CyanogenMod 9 will be our best option. When CM9 hits alpha, I'll start a new thread. The early builds are awesome but buggy as hell. I would not recommend installing them unless you are very experienced with CM.

I've been enjoying running the ICS builds from Onecosmic. Great RC release but not ready for the masses. Very stable and very fast... just lame touchwiz has to ruin it for us.
