crapy gps

hello i have a samsung captivate and my phone wont connect to the gps sats. im running froyo 2.2 non official is there a way to fix this problem.

There are a couple of possible solutions (not every one of these work on every cappy). Be advised: No possible way to fix it without rooting the phone. Bear in mind YMMV depending on which fix you try.


1. SGS Tools does include a GPS fix
-or-
2. PumbBob's GPS Fix - Note that it is a beta version & Froyo only.
-or-
3. AdamHolden's GPS Fix
-or-
4. Flash a custom rom with the GPS fix already in it. (Phoenix, Supernova, Firefly, Serendipity, etc)


To test it to see if it actually fixed it you'll need Google Maps and GPS Test. I've been using Adams GPS fix and Telenav 6.2 Basic lately with pretty good results.

That didnt work but I have one more try. I have a bluetooth gps receiver, but my captivate wont detect it how ever it detects any thing else. The gps receiver works with other phones and my laptop how can I detect it. Thanks
