    Non-market apps

    The non-market app hack for the Captivate also works on the X10. There is one difference and that is the location of the settings.db file. If you follow the how-to for the Captivate, just replace anything that is "/dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.settings/settings.db" with "/data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db" and it should work. It worked for me. You will need root for this to work.
