Motorola Announces Android Upgrade Schedule

It's a good day for Motorola BackFlip Owners! Motorola has announced the time line for Android upgrades on all current US model phones. The Motorola Backflip is scheduled for Q3 release with beta testing currently underway. The Motorola Devour's life was cut short and is the only phone on the list not to receive any update. The Motorola Droid is currently receiving the Android 2.2 update as we speak and the Droid X is soon to follow.

Because as it stands, ours its pretty much still on the same timeline. A lot of other changes were made to the list. We begged for it to be updated so we had some idea where we stood, and now it has.

But nothing has been changed. They updated it in regards to the Cliq/XT but the line regarding the Backflip still just says planned for Q3.

I would take that as a good sign. They updated the entire list, so it must mean it's still planned for us to get ours before october

The big change I observe is that the upgrade for backflip has a big NO for Europe and Mexico, still under evaluation and not approved in Canada and Asia..

Sounds like several strikes against the developers in other country's ability to pull a 2.1 upgrade off on the backflip.

US users are still being lied too about any delivery of the 2.1 for backflip is still planned for Q3 as Motorola still hasn't updated or conceded testing (I doubt I'll get my update from Mark/Motorola notifying me of an update anytime soon).

Yeah I think that it's coming during Q4. Unless testing will take a week for the Backflip.
